T.I.’s Freedom Extenstion Denied

 

TIP probably making that same face right now as earlier today he was just informed that he will not get a 2 week extension of freedom like he requested. He will report to jail May 26 like scheduled.

U.S. District Judge Charles A. Pannell Jr. has ruled that T.I. must report to federal authorities in Arkansas on Tuesday (May 25) to begin his one year prison sentence as scheduled.

 Judge Pannell handed down his decision Friday afternoon (May 22), just one day after attorney’s for the rapper requested a two-week delay. [ AllHipHop ]

Slaughterhouse Signs to E1 Music with Album in July

 

Some good news to start the 3 day weekend. It was just revealed that Slaughterhouse just signed with E1 Music, former KOCH records and could expect an album in July. If you are not familiar with this group then you definitely got some issues.

XXLMag,com has learned that on July 7 hip-hop supergroup, Slaughterhouse – which conisists of Brooklyn’ sown Joell Ortiz, New Jersey native Joe Budden, Los Angeles rapper Crooked I and Detroit staple Royce da 5’ 9” – will be dropping their debut CD on E1 Music, formerly known as Koch Records.

It has been confirmed that Streetrunner, DJ Khalil and The Alchemist, whose new disc is coming out on the same day on E1 as well, will be providing beats on the album. Currently untitled, the LP will include such songs as “Not Tonight,” Microphone,” “Number 1” and “Cuckoo.” [ XXLmag.com ]

Make sure you get on their mixtape and do not forget they will be slaughtering it down at this summer’s upcoming Rock the Bells show.

T.I. Appeals His Sentencing Location

 

Just 4 days before Cliff heads to the slammer in Arkansas to do most of his year and a day, he has requested to appeal his prision location and to remain free while he looks for another location closer to home. Earlier this week there was a little confusion on if he was doing 2 months or his full sentence.

As previously reported, the Atlanta rapper, born Clifford Harris, is scheduled to turn himself in by no later than noon on Tuesday (May 26) to serve a 366-day sentence at the Forrest City Federal Correctional Complex’s low security facility.

It seems, however, that the decision to send him to Arkansas was based on a pre-sentencing report that described the 28-year-old as having a “serious history of violence.”

In his appeal of the decision, TI claims that prison officials miscalculated his criminal history. [ AllHipHop ]

Jay-Z Buys Out Def Jam Contract & Gets Next Album for $5 Mil

Rumors been making their rounds around the net today that Jay just bought out of his Def Jam contract and purchased his rights for his next album for $5 million. I guess he wants that Blueprint 3 all to himself under Roc Nation.

As Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s new home under the Live Nation umbrella, takes shape, the hip-hop superstar has reportedly bought back the last remaining record on his Island Def Jam deal for what some say is a whopping $5 million, raising a number of intriguing questions. How does the album figure into the plans of Roc Nation’s brain trust, which also includes the A&R-savvy Jay Brown and Tata, as well as Jay-Z’s business manager John Menielly? How will it be marketed and distributed? Will Roc Nation employ a traditional distribution channel or take the LP direct to retail? (Hits Daily Double)

RapRadar revealed that Jay reached out to them personally and confirmed the rumor is true.

Video: Man Charged in Dolla Murder

Dang so they already have a guy in custody for Dolla’s murder. Dolla, a 23 year-old artist on Akon’s label was gunned down early Monday morning.

Los Angeles County prosecutors filed murder charges this afternoon against a 23-year-old Georgia promoter who is accused of fatally shooting up-and-coming rapper Dolla at the Beverly Center.

Aubrey Louis Berry faces a single felony count of murder and two counts of assault with a firearm in the death of Dolla, whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment later this afternoon in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.

If convicted, Berry faces a maximum sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole. He is being held on $1.1-million bail.

Michael Vick Released from Jail

I am sure most of you all know that Michael Vick was released from doing his 19 month bid for being the ring leader of his various dog death matches. He was released this morning from Leavenworth, Kananas., around 5 a.m this morning. He now reports to his Hampton Va home to complete 2 months of house arrest with the next 3 years of probation. I wonder how his return to the NFL will pan out. ESPN Reports

Vick’s agent said Tuesday that the quarterback “will place football on the back burner” during his immediate home confinement and that there are no meetings scheduled with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss reinstatement for the 2009 season.

“Michael’s looking forward to reacquainting himself with his family, his fiancée, Kiafa, his children and his mom,” Joel Segal, Vick’s agent, said. “When he gets home, that’s his priority, along with reinserting himself into society and being a positive influence in his community. This is going to be a special time for him, just being around family.”
